Jesus says that we need a spiritual rebirth. In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." - John 3:3 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' - John 3:7

All mankind is fallen. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." - Romans 3:10-12 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23

We must turn around and turn to God. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, - Acts 3:19

We must believe in and receive the Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - John 1:12 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. - Romans 10:9-10
